Volunteer Board Position: Director of Development

About KIDD Forever:

  • KIDD Forever is a nonprofit startup based in Graham, WA, dedicated to providing adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), particularly those requiring additional behavioral support, with enrichment opportunities focused on outdoor, farming, and animal-related activities.

Position Overview / Key Responsibilities:
KIDD Forever is seeking a passionate and skilled Director of Development to join our Board of Directors. 

This volunteer leadership role will be instrumental in:

  • Securing financial resources to sustain and expand programs (working with other board members)

  • Cultivating relationships with donors, sponsors, and foundations

  • Supporting grant development and other fundraising initiatives

  • Identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, government agencies, and foundations

  • Planning and executing fundraising campaigns and events

  • Leading marketing and communication efforts for fundraising initiatives

  • Researching and sharing information about similar organizations, tabling opportunities, and resource fairs

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in fundraising, development, donor relations, or grant writing

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a startup environment

  • Highly organized with strong time management skills

Time Commitment:

  • Approximately 10–20 hours per month

  • Attend 1½-hour board meetings twice per month
